Mostly the kids get drunk, and then act stupid. Dudes get high, but no one does any interesting drugs. NB: Re: "Inappropriate" behavior: There aren't any explicit sex scenes. The series just doesn't relent until you are beaten down, reading as fast as you can so the last book will end and you don't have to hear from Gossip Girl anymore.
